FORMER RESIDENT DIED

Ora P. Sargent, a former resident of this place but for the past forty-five years of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tessie Plummer, 1270 Nineteenth Avenue SW. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Beatty Chapel conducted by the Rev. August Cramer. The remains were brought to Strawberry Point and laid to rest in the County Corners cemetery six miles southwest of town.

The deceased was born in Belvidere, Ill., May 10, 1855. He was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Waite of Strawberry Point who passed away several years ago. Mr. Sargent was a member of the Linden Camp, M.W.A. at Cedar Rapids. He is survived by three children, Mrs. Tessie Plummer and Mrs. Leona Clark of Cedar Rapids and Lennie Sargent of Cresco also two brothers and two sisters Ira Sargent of Spencer, Emery Sargent and Mrs. Harriet Dunsmoor of Strawberry Point and Mrs. Phebe Dunsmoor of Ft. Dodge.
