Alvina Ulreka Daugs
Alvina Ulreka Daugs was born on Dec. 22 in McGregor, Iowa to parents Herman and Bertha Raddatz Hass. She died on Monday, March 1, 1993 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She was 93. She was baptized Jan. 21, 1900 by Rev. Graening and confirmed April 5, 1914 by Rev. Wappler at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona. She received her education at the Pleasant Ridge Country School.
In June of 1923 she married Frederick C. Daugs at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Rev. A. Daugs officiating. To this union, three children were born. The couple made their home in Monona. Alvina worked as a telephone operator for 25 years and as a florist for 30 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, and as president of the Ladies Aid and the Women's Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Garden Club, and served as president.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Frederick, who died June 5, 1983, a sister, Helena, and five brothers, Emil, Otto, Fred, Charlie and Walter.
Surviving are two sons, Frederick of Monona and Don and his wife Winifred of Logan, Utah; one daughter, Doris and her husband, Rev. LaVern Kampfe of Waverly; and 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Monona- Alvina U. Daugs, 93, died Monday at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 9 p.m Thursday at Shultz's Funeral Home, where a prayer service begins at 8 p.m.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick of Monona and Don of Logan, Utah; and a daughter, Doris Kampfe of Waverly.
