GRADY, MICHAEL

Michael "Ed" Grady, Sr., age 72 of St. Paul Park, Minnesota, died September 26, 1998 at home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband for 48 years to Roberta, caring father of Mary C. Grady of St. Paul, Anna C.(Paul H.) Burnham of Charles City, Iowa, and Michael E. (wife, Kimberly) Grady, Jr. of Lake in the Hills, Illinois. He was the devoted grandfather of Veronica A. and Justin P. Burnham, and Amanda C. and Joseph M. Grady; brother of Catherine (Charles B.) Fick and Anna Mae (Joseph L.) Rothmeyer, all of Monona, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Grady. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holly Ave., St. Paul Park. Interment was at Monona, Iowa. Ed was the editor of the 'Jackson Sentinel' and the Maquoketa, Iowa 'Community Press'. He was the manager of the information-communications division, Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation, St.Paul. Until recently, Editorial Commentator, Information Specialist, Researcher, Public Speaker, and Freelance Writer. Special thanks to Dr. Daniel Moriarty, the staff at the Maplewood Cancer Center, and to Health East Hospice. Funeral arrangements were at Kok Funeral Home in St. Paul Park, Minnesota.
