Mrs. Ed. L. Glawe
Services for Mrs. Ed. L. Glawe were held from the Witt Funeral home in Elkader at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Burial was made in the East Side cemetery. The Rev. H. H. Frohn officiated. Mrs. Glawe, 63, died at her home on Friday morning, Jan. 7. She had been ill about three months.
She was born Ina Ida Vogt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Vogt, Feb. 17, 1891, in Read Township. On Feb 8, 1910, she was united in marriage with Ed L. Glawe. The couple made their home on a farm until 1941, when they moved to Elkader.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Reuben and a daughter, Mrs. Carl Meyer, both of St. Olaf. She is also survived by two brothers and four sisters. They are: Fred and Arthur Vogt of Elkader, Mrs. Ella Lahrs, Mrs. George Kelpien, Mrs. Louis Radloff and Mrs. Paul Haverland, all of Elkader. There are also two half sisters, Mrs. Theo. Glawe and Marion (sic) Vogt of St. Olaf.
Pallbearers were: Lawrence Glawe, Arno Heier, Fred Lahrs, Fred Stendel, Arno Kliefoth, and Art Huckstadt.

ELKADER, Ia. – Services for Mrs. Ed. L. Glawe, 63, who died at her home in Elkader Friday afternoon after a long illness will be a 2 p.m. Sunday at the Witt Funeral Home.The Rev H. H. Frohn will officiate. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery, Elkader.
Mrs. Glawe was born Feb. 17, 1891, on a farm in Read Township near Elkader, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vogt. She was married to Ed. L. Glawe in 1910.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Reuben, and one daughter Mrs. Carl Meyer, both of St. Olaf, two brothers Fred and Arthur of Elkader; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Lahrs, Mrs. Louis Radloff, Mrs. George Kelpren, all of Elkader, and Mrs. Paul Haverland of St. Olaf; two half sisters, Mrs. Theodore Glawe and Miss Marina Vogt of St. Olaf.
