Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Eberling, Postville, were held at 1:30 p.m. January 15, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Norris C. Swenson officiated.

Edna Louise Eberling, daughter of Fred J. and Anna Nuehring Heins, was born May 3, 1907 in Post Township, Allamakee County and died January 12, 1979 at Postville at the age of 71 years.

She attended rural school near her home, and Postville High School, and served for a time as a rural school teacher. United in marriage February 14, 1931, to Walter Eberling, she and her husband, with their two sons, Karlton and Lee Allan, farmed in the Luana, Castalia and Postville areas. In retirement years, she and her husband resided in Postville.

She was baptized May 26, 1907 by Pastor Paulson, and confirmed September 5, 1920 by Pastor Schmidt. As an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, she served as a Sunday School Teacher, was a member of the LCW and had served as a Group leader.

In addition to her husband, Walter, she is survived by her two sons, Karlton and Lee Allan, both of rural Postville; three brothers, Harlan, Luana, Rolan, Postville and Luther, Monona; three sisters, Mrs. Aurelia Schultz, Postville, Mrs. Kenneth (Romilda) Koth, Postville and Mrs. Marcella Milliren, Forest Lake, Minnesota and eight grandchildren.

Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
