Died. At the residence of his father, Thos. Fleming, in Grand Meadow township, Feb. 20th, 1895, of consumption, M.J. Fleming, in the 25th year of his age. The deceased had been in poor health for the past five years. A sister of the deceased is very low with the same dread disease. The family is entitled to great sympathy.

~Note: His death was recorded in Clayton County Register of Deaths, Book I, page 100. According to this record he was buried in Clermont, Fayette co.

This death notice is essentially the same, except it gives his first name.

Elgin Echo, Thursday, 07 March 1895.

Died, at his home in Grand Meadow, on Wednesday Feb. 20, 1895, Michael J. Fleming, aged 24 years.
