Funeral services were held Friday, November 27 at 10:30 a.m. from the Schutte Funeral Home, Postville, for Marian Lange who died Wednesday, November 25 at Community Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for several years. The Rev. Raymond Pacholke of the First Methodist church, Monona, officiated. Burial was in the Monona Cemetery.

Marian Francis, daughter of Charles and Viola Dull Owen, was born August 12, 1905 in Monona. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist church at Monona and remained a member throughout her life. She attended the Monona grade school and high school.

January 1, 1925 she was united in marriage to Kenneth V. Lange. The couple farmed in the Monona area until they retired to Postville in 1966.

She was preceded in death by her only brother, Roy Owen, and a granddaughter, Janet Lange. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three daughters: Mrs. Leo (Marjorie) Bollman of Monona, Mrs. John (Peggy) Rothmeyer and Mrs. Gary (Diane) Ellis both of Postville; two sons: Bennett of Postville and LeAllen of Luana and nine grandchildren.
