Larson, LaVerne Lewis 1924-1978

Funeral services were held at the Norway Lutheran Church on Saturday, Sept. 16, 1978 for LaVerne Lewis Larson. Pastor Keith Klemm officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Neil Nelson, Leland Olson, Lorimer Fuelling, Tommy Liche, Don Dutka and Wayne Peterson.

LaVerne Lewis Larson was born Dec. 5, 1924 in Wagner Township, outside of St. Olaf, Iowa, the son of Oswald and Orpha Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Norway Lutheran Church, where he remained a communicant member until his death. He died Sept. 13, 1978 at the Central Community Hospital, Elkader, from pneumonia.

LaVerne was preceded in death by his father, Oswald, in 1934. He is survived by his mother, Orpha, and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
