Anna Ida Drallmeier

Anna Ida Drallmeier died June 16 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI. Services were held Friday, June 19, 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona. Pastor Harold O. Ward and Pastor Gary Grindeland officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Monona. The organist was Connie Halvorson and the soloist, a granddaughter, Gail Smola. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of services.

She was born Sept. 13, 1898 in Grand Meadow township, Clayton County to Frank and Mary Wilker Lenth. She was baptized Dec. 18, 1898 at Clayton Center and confirmed March 31, 1912 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona. She received her education in the Monona school.

Jan. 3, 1918 she married Elmer Drallmeier. They had 4 sons and one daughter.

The couple farmed in the Farmersburg area and then moved to Monona where they operated their own business for a number of years. In 1954 they moved to Cedar Rapids until retiring to Monona in 1964. She worked as a seamstress for New Process Laundry in Cedar Rapids.

She was a resident at Prairie Living Center since Dec., 1984.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Elmer, Dec. 26, 1975, two sons, Leslie and Wesley; 3 grandchildren, one sister, Elsie and one brother, Hubert.

Surviving are 2 sons, Robert of Monona and Gerald of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Rodena Roethler of Farmersburg; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Altha Koth of Postville, Almira Lantzky of Sumner and Rosena Wilker of Guttenberg.

Pallbearers were Gary Manson, Dwayne Manson, Jim Smola, Bill Clark, Dewane Hughes, John Millage and Jay Miller.
