VOLGA — Kathryn Morris, 71, of Volga, died Monday, Oct. 5, at home after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Volga. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery in Strawberry Point. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, after 5 p.m. at the Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, Elkader, and after 9:30 a.m. before services at the church. A parish rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Walter; two sons, Jack Dillon, Sumner, and Tom Morris, Big Rock; two daughters, Mary Ann, Volga, and Katie, Mrs. Don Ewoldt, Pflugerville, Texas.; six grandchildren; one brother, John Garrity, Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Marie Chapman, Decorah; Sadie Rice, Corvallis, Ore.; Ellen Huggins, and Patty Meek, both of Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Dillon; one granddaughter, Kelly Dillon, and her parents.
