RAY W. PETERS
Ray W. Peters, son of Mike and Emma Moritz Peters, was born Sept. 26, 1896 in Allamakee County. He passed away in Postville Community Hospital after a short illness on April 29 at the age of 75 years.
He received his education at the Figgie School in Allamakee County. He worked as a mechanic for the Peglow Ford Motor Company for a period of 48 years. He was united in marriage to Minnie Hertrampf on April 24, 1932 at Galena, Ill. There was one son, Kenneth, who lives in Monona, born to this union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harry and Elmer Peters, and two sisters, Miss Mabel Peters and Mrs. Gladys Dickinson. He leaves to remember him, his wife, Minnie, his son, Kenneth, and other relatives and friends.
Services were held on May 2 at the Pilgrim United Methodist Church with Rev. Raymond W. Pacholke officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Harlan Hass, Mrs. Wallace Marting and Mrs. Terry Heald, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Justus Kammeier.
Pallbearers were Eugene Peters, Felix Moritz, George Balekos, Jr., G. F. Peglow, Robert Peters, Simon Moses, and Ray Hertrampf.
Burial was in Monona City Cemetery.
