DONALD D. RYAN
Donald D. Ryan, 23, Monona, was killed instantly at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday morning one and one-half miles west of Monona on Highway 52 when his 1951 Ford car left the road and crashed into a highline pole, according to the Highway Patrol, who investigated. A second accident followed this mishap. Robert Geraghty, 30, was stopped by a motorist who had observed Ryan's car off the road and he rushed to Monona to summon a doctor. Geraghty lost control of his 1942 Buick convertible at the Huinker Garage corner when he hit a patch of ice and he smashed into the garage retaining wall breaking out two plate glass windows. Though not injured himself, Geraghty's car was damaged in the amount of $300.00 and damage to Huinker Garage was set at $850.00
