Colesburg Ia. - Special; Funeral services for Mrs. Viola E. Smith 77, lifelong resident of Colesburg who died Tuesday (Dec. 13, 1944) at the Harley Barnhart home, will be held at the Methodist church at Colesburg at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Floyd R. Maynard, of Colesburg will officiate. Burial will be in the Brown cemetery. The Platt funeral home, Manchester is in charge of the arrangements.

As Viola Barnhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barnhart, she was born July 29, 1867 near Colesburg, attending the schools there, and lived her entire life in that vicinity. She was married to Charles M. Smith Oct. 19, 1892 whose death occurred nearly three years ago.

Survivors are three brothers George, Harley, and Harry Barnhart all of Colesburg, and one sister, Mrs. Norma McDowell, Colesburg.
