We wish to express our sincere thanks for the many floral and spiritual bouquets, and other expressions of sympathy received during our bereavement. JOHN O’BRIEN and FAMILY.

~~~~~~~
Notes: the newspaper photocopy didn't show date or the newspaper name, was provided to me from Joen De Muth (daughter of Esther O'Brien who married Joe DeMuth. She is referenced as “Mrs. Joe DeMuth” above). Joen obtained copy from Dan O'Brien (son of Daniel O'Brien). Both Esther & Daniel were children of Etta’s.
Note: Prairie du Chien is in Wisconsin, just across the Mississippi river from McGregor, Iowa. We know Etta O’Brien, per her gravestone in Calvary Cemetery Prairie du Chien, WI died in 1938, so based on obituary above referencing services held Thursday November 3rd, and that she had died on Monday of that week, her date of death would be October 31, 1938. Her husband John James O’Brien died October 3, 1945 and shares the same grave headstone with Etta showing years of birth & death.
If you are related to any relatives of Etta O’Brien, mentioned in this obituary, please contact: Kathy O’Brien, daughter of Jack (John E.) O’Brien, the grandson referenced as serving mass in last paragraph.
