NORMAN J. SCROGUM PASSES AWAY

Norman J. Scrogum, 56, life long resident of Marquette and McGregor, passed away Monday morning at the McGregor Community Hospital.

He served 8 years on the Town Council; four years as Trustee of the McGregor Municipal Utilities; and was a 10-year member of the McGregor Volinteer Fire Department. At the present time he was the president of the Interstate Federal Savings and Loan Association. He was also a member of the McGregor Kiwanis Club. Norman worked at the Kramer Cords Drug Store in McGregor for many years.

Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Mary's church. Burial was in Pleasent Grove Cemetery. Thornburg Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his wife Amy (Gernet) Scrogum; one daughter, Mrs Beverly Scheckel, Rothschild, Wisconsin; one sister, Mrs. Marie Kelly, Marquette; Two grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was peceded in death by his parents: George and Julia Ann (Quinn) Scrogum; and a sister Jessie Scrogum.
