Marian L. Bergman (1915 - 2007)

Cedar Falls--Marian Lucille Bergman, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 18, at her daughter's home in Springfield, Mo.

She was born July 13, 1915, in Hazleton, daughter of Matthew and Mattie Kaster McDowall. She married Paul Kaiser on Sept 23, 1933, in McGregor. He died in 1978.

On Nov. 17, 1984, she married Theodore Bergman in Strawberry Point. He died Nov. 21, 2003.

Mrs. Bergman attended Hazleton and Aurora public schools. She was a member of Orchard Hill Church, Kitchen Klatter Club, and various card clubs and church groups.

Survivors include: a son, Paul (Joy) Kaiser Jr. of Shell Knob, Mo.; two daughters, Marilyn (Donald) Fredrick of Strawberry Point and Marlene (Bud) Brown of Springfield; a stepson, Dale (Peggy) Bergman of Milwaukee; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Roiseland of Waverly and Laurie Burger of Denver, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents, a stepdaughter, Nancy Shoeman; five sisters, jean Petticord, Jessie Weisert, Lois Hillman, Berry Edwards, and Helen Murphy; and five brothers, Gilbert, Ross, Leonard and William McDowall, and Leslie Means.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Orchard Hill Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery, Oelwein. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
