Naomi E. Garlow 90, died at her home in Colesburg, Ia. Sunday Oct. 12, 1997.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Colesburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jill Sanders officiating. Burial was in the Brown Cemetery, Colesburg, with the following pallbearers: Alan Garlow, Terry Garlow; Michael Ward; Linus Amling; Lynn Hansel, and Robert Hansel.
Mrs. Garlow was born Aug. 16, 1907 at the Garber, Ia. to Realto and Katie (Feidt) Hansel. She attended school in that area where she grew up. On June 4, 1933 she was married to Dale Hansel at Galena, Ill. He passed away on Aug. 26, 1979.
Survivng are two daughters: Anna Conrad of Palm Harbor, Fla, and Mrs. Steven (Carol) Brown of Cedar Rapids; Robert of Cedar Rapids, Donald (Bonnie) of Guttenberg; Larry of Colesburg, and David (Jackie) of West Union; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elsie Mallory of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Marcus (Eunice) Conley of Garber, and a daughter-in-law Merle Hansel of Garber, Ia.
Besides her parents and husband, Naomi was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Hansel; three grandchildren; on great-grandson in infancy; Four brothers: Leo, Walter, George, and Vernon Hansel; and two sisters, Lucille Hansel, and Bertha O'Conner.
Leonard Funeral Home at Edgewood was in charge of arrangements.
