Burckhart - Ottaway, engagement 1948

BURCKHART, BURCKART, OTTAWAY

Miss Geneva Ottaway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Ottaway, of McGregor, will become the bride of Fred Burckhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Burckhart, also of McGregor, at 8:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's church there.

Notes: according to Fred Burckhart's obituary (see on the Clayton co. Obit board) the marriage took place May 25, 1948. More than likely the marriage announcement was published in the weeks prior to the marriage. His obit & other's of this family spell their surname as Burckart.
