Phelps - Ruegnitz marriage - 1952

Miss Marlene Ruegnitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Ruegnitz of Elkport, became the bride of Calvin J. Phelps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Phelps of Cedar Rapids, Sunday, at the Hope Lutheran church in Littleport, with the Rev. Wolfegang Tilmanns officiating. Miss Janice Ruegnitz, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Miss Jayne Phelps served as bride's maid. Janet Ruegnitz, cousin of the bride, acted as flower girl. Miss Barbara Ruegnitz, cousin of the bride, had charge of the guest book. Keith Phelps of Cedar Rapids, cousin of the groom, served as best man.

The bride is a graduate of Elkader high school and is employed at Cartan and Jeffery Co., in Cedar Rapids. The groom graduated from the Roosevelt high school in Cedar Rapids and is employed at Collins Radio Co. in Cedar Rapids.

After a wedding trip the new couple will be at home in Cedar Rapids.
