VOLGA CITY: Miss Frances Hood became the bride of Eugene Fairweather Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Methodist parsonage in Strawberry Point. The pastor, Rev. Carlson, officiated. Attendants were the bride's sister, Donna Hood, and the groom's brother, Charles Fairweather. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hood of Jesup and a graduate of Upper Iowa University. At present, she is teaching fifth and sixth grade in Volga. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Fairweather of Edgewood. He is also an Upper Iowa graduate. He is commercial teacher and coach in the local high school

They have established their home in the Mrs. Dorothy McDonald Moore house, which they have rented.
