Carrier - Entwisle marriage - 1957

St. Mary's church in Guttenberg was the setting for the wedding of Miss Rita Colleen Entwisle and Daniel Carrier, Saturday, Oct. 26. The ceremony was performed by Father McBride. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Entwisle of Elkader, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Carrier of Guttenberg. Matron of honor was Mrs. Henry Fassbinder, sister of the groom, and bridesmaid was Miss Mary Ann Palmer of Cedar Rapids, friend of the couple. The groom's attendants were Ray Kleinow, Marion, brother-in-law of the groom, and Orville Dale Entwisle, brother of the bride. Ushers were: Duane Tieden, brother-in-law of the bride, and Jerome Carrier, brother of the groom.

At the reception for approximately 150 people, Mrs. Milda Tieden and Mrs. Elwin Sargent cut the four-tiered cake, and Mrs. Ray Koehn, sister of the bride, and Miss Margene Will of Cedar Rapids, poured the coffee. Mrs. Duane Tieden, another sister of the bride, took care of the gifts.

The couple is at home in Guttenberg.
