The Peace Evangelical and Reformed church was the scene of a pretty Christmas wedding on Monday, Dec. 27, when Miss Elaine Felker daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Felker, Elkader, became the bride of Merrill R. Smith Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill R. Smith, Elkader. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Mrs. Marvin Bradshaw of Fort Dodge, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Jacqueline Smith, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Dale Felker, brother of the bride, served as one of the ushers. Mrs. Augusta Cassutt, maternal grandmother of the groom, was in attendance, however, Mrs. June Smith, paternal grandmother of the groom, was unable to attend.

Following a week's honeymoon the couple will be at home at 3300 Stevens Ave,, S. Minneapolis, Minn.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Elkader high school and St. Mary's school of nursing, Rochester, Minn. Her husband is also a graduate of Elkader high school and Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa, and is now an accountant with International Milling Company, Minneapolis, Minn.

Out of town relatives who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rippey, Mrs. Augusta Cassutt, Mrs. Ed. Rishell, Marshall all of Guttenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, Colesburg; Mr. and Mrs. George Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bradshaw and David, all of Fort Dodge and Miss Vivian Bradshaw, Chicago.
