Miss Cecilia Eilers, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Serinius Eilers, McGregor became the bride of Eugene Schmelzer, Garnavillo, Tuesday morning at St. Joseph church, Garnavillo. The Rev. Father Dupont officiated. Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Catrilda. The groom's attendant was his brother, Gerald. Bridesmaids were, Patricia Auer, Angeline Schmelzer, cousin of the groom, and Kathleen Eilers, cousin of the bride. The groom's attendants were Cyril Eilers, brother of the bride, Gerald Walters, cousin of the bride, Kenneth Schmelzer, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Junior Nieland and L. Frommelt, cousins of the bride.

In the evening a shower dance was given at Lakeside ballroom. Mrs. Dennis Schmelzer, sister-in-law of the groom, was a vocal soloist.
