Niehaus - Stickfort marriage - 1948

NIEHAUS, STICKFORT, HEMPELER

The marriage of Miss Christina Stickfort, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arno J. Stickfort and Virgil Niehaus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Niehaus of Guttenberg was solemnized Tuesday, Apr. 20, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, Garnavillo. The Rev. Alexander Meyer officiated. Mrs. Arlyn Hempeler, the bride's twin sister, was the bride's attendant, and Robert Niehaus attended his brother. Ushers were Earl Stickfort and Fred Niehaus.

The bride graduated from the Garnavillo high school and for the past three years has been employed in Dubuque. The groom graduated from Guttenberg high school and attended Elkader Junior college. He has since been farming near Guttenberg, where the new home will be made.
