Maehl - Hansel marriage - 1948

Miss Jean Hansel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansel, Elkader, became the bride of John C. Maehl, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Maehl, Monday, January 26. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated at the parsonage of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church. Attending the couple were Miss Mary Lou Kuhse and Charles Hansel, brother of the bride.

Mrs. Maehl is a graduate of the Elkader high school and has since been employed as stenographer in the law office of Charles Neylan and for Hart and Hart attorneys. Mr. Maehl attended the schools in his community and since has been helping his parents on the home farm, where the new home will be made.
