Miss Joan Adel Matt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Matt, and Carroll Edward Oelke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll H. Oelke, both of Farmersburg, were married Sunday evening, April 30, at St. John's Lutheran church in Farmersburg. The Rev. R. H. Steege officiated.

Miss Barbara Burrack, Arlington, niece of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Martha Knoll, Des Moines, was bridesmaid. Miss Judy Burrack, of McGregor, and Miss Carol Huebsch, of Strawberry Point, nieces of the bride were junior bridesmaids. Misses Audrey and Sandra Reardon of Farmersburg, cousins of the groom, were candlelighters. William Reardon, cousin of the groom, was best man, and ushers were Robert Feldt of Ames and Theodore Burrack of McGregor. Master Robert Moser of Farmersburg was ring bearer.

A reception was given in the church parlors following the ceremony for 150 guests with Mrs. Theodore Burrack, of McGregor, and Mrs. Harold Huebsch, of Strawberry Point, pouring. and Mrs. Ervin Burrack cutting the cake.

After a short wedding trip south the new couple will be at home in New Hampton.

The bride is a graduate of Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. The groom attended Iowa State college, Ames, and is now employed with the state highway commission in New Hampton.
