Peake - Hansmeier marriage - 1950

The marriage of Miss Lorraine Hansmeier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hansmeier of Waukon, and Charles Peake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peake of Postville, occurred Saturday at the parsonage of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at Elkader. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated.

Miss Mary Jo Colvin, Elkader, sister of the bride, and J. L. Brainerd, Waukon, attended the couple. Following the service a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mrs. Leo Colvin, aunt and uncle of the bride.

Mrs. Peake is a graduate of the Waukon high school and is employed as a teacher in Ludlow district No. 8 school near Waukon. Her husband is engaged in farming near Postville, where the couple will make their home.
