St. Paul's Lutheran church in Monona was the scene of the wedding Tuesday, Aug. 28, of Miss Rachel Brownson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brownson of McGregor, and Harold Hoth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hoth of Elkader. The Rev. K. Landgebe of Garnavillo, officiated, with the Rev. R. C. Schlueter of Monona giving the sermon. Miss Jeanette Brownson of Rochester served her sister as maid of honor. Miss LuNida Hoth, sister of the groom, and Miss Eloise Brownson, sister of the bride, were bridesmaids. Pvt. Reuben Hoth, cousin of the groom, was best man. Palmer Brownson and Harlan Klutzbach, cousins of the bridal couple, were ushers.
The newlyweds will reside at the Brownson farm.
Mrs. Hoth attended Iowa State college, Iowa State Teacher's college, and is a graduate of Wartburg college at Waverly. She taught grade school the past four years at the Muscatine children's home at Monona. Mr. Hoth attended Elkader schools and has been engaged in farming since that time.
