Wachter - Hass marriage - 1944

Saturday, in the Pilgrim Evangelical church in Monona, Miss Margery Hass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hass of Monona, became the bride of John L. Wachter, Jr., son of John Wachter, Sr., of Prairie du Chien, Wis. The Rev. H. W. Raduege officiated. Maid of honor was the groom's sister, Miss Betty Wachter, and bridesmaids were Miss Doris Daugs of Dubuque, cousin of the bride, and Miss Marion Wachter of Madison, Wis., sister of the groom. Kathleen Wachter, sister of the groom served as flower girl. Ramon Hass, brother of the bride, served as ringbearer.

The bride is a graduate of Monona high school, Elkader Junior college, and Iowa State Teachers college where she was affiliated with Kappa Pi Beta Alpha sorority. She has been teaching the past few years, this year being a first grade instructor in Belle Plaine, Iowa.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. The last two years he has been an agriculture instructor in the Hillsboro, Wis. high school.

The new couple will be at home on East Cass street in Prairie du Chien, Wis.
