Stoops - Corkery marriage - 1943

Miss Helen Corkery of Elkader and Staff Sgt. Bernell Stoops of Camp Atterbury, Ind., were married here Saturday, May 22, in the parsonage of St. Joseph's church by the Rt. Rev. Mngr. J. P. Taken. The attendants were Miss Mary Corkery, sister of the bride, and E. A. Burlingame, Jr.

After a short honeymoon trip to Chicago the new couple went to Camp Atterbury, Ind., where the groom is stationed.
