Monday, June 02, 1947, Miss Violet Landsgaard, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vebjorn Landsgaard of St. Olaf, became the bride of Glen Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thore Thompson of Wadena, in the Marion Lutheran church at Gunder. Dr. S. J. Strandjord performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Clyde McFarlane, who served as matron of honor. Mrs. Leta Mavis Winoski of West Union, served as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Floyd Thompson, as best man, and Esten Landsgaard, brother of the bride, as groomsman. Ushers were Orvin and Torwald Thompson, brothers of the groom.
The bride was graduated from the West Union high school, and attended summer school at Fayette, after which she taught a rural school near West Union. The past year she was a teacher in the lower grades at St. Olaf. The groom served four years in the Navy. Following his discharge he attended Iowa State college at Ames, Iowa.
The new couple will live on the groom's home place, near Wadena.
