Powell - Moritz marriage - 1940

Lois Moritz, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Moritz, became the bride of Lieut. Ross Powell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Powell, at the Evangelical parsonage, Tuesday. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. The attendants were Mrs. Malin Shultz of Luana, sister of the bride, and Harry Powell, twin brother of the groom. The bride was a rural school teacher after she graduated high school and for the past two years has been in nurse's training at the Deaconess Hospital in Marshalltown. Mr. Powell is a Lieutenant in the army, having received his appointment about a year ago. He is a graduate of the Elkader public school and junior college. The new couple will make their home at Monteray, Cal., after Nov. 18th.
