Diers - Knudson marriage - 1940

Miss Helen Lauve Knudson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred T. Knudson of St. Olaf, became the bride of Vernon W. Diers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Diers of Clayton Center, Saturday, Sept. 21. The wedding took place at Zion's Lutheran church at Clayton Center, with the Rev. D. A. Flesner officiating. Miss Dorothy Knudson, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid, while Merle Gossman attended the groom.

The bride graduated from the Elkader high school and attended Bethany college at Mankato, Minn. The groom graduated from the Elkader high school and Junior college. He also attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls, one year.

The new couple will be at home on the Henry Diers farm.
