Pape - Hoeger marriage - 1940

MONONA: Miss Elaine Hoeger and Merwyn Pape were married Sunday afternoon in St. Paul's Lutheran church, the pastor, the Rev. H. W. Siefkes, officiated. Maid of honor was Miss Fay Hoeger, sister of the bride, and the Misses Dorothy Pape and Dorothy Hoeger were bridesmaids, being sisters of the contracting parties. Leslie Peters of Tripoli, a cousin of the groom, was best man, Raymond Hupfer and Melvin Radloff were the ushers. Little Carrol Pape, sister of the groom, was flower girl. The bride was given away by her father, George Hoeger.

Mrs. Pape is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoeger of Alpha, and is a graduate of the Alpha high school and Pitts beauty school in Waterloo. She is the proprietor of Elaine's beauty parlor in Monona. Her husband is a graduate of the Monona high school and clerks in the Hupfer's I. G. A. store in Monona.
