STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Lucille Newcomb, eldest daughter of Phil Newcomb of Blairstown and Mrs. Minnie Newcomb of Strawberry Point, and Walter Goodin of Elkader, were united in marriage at the local Methodist church Friday evening. The Rev. Glenn S. Hartong officiated. Mrs. Kenneth Kamoss, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Alice Newcomb and Anita Ohl, while the groom's attendant was Kenneth Kamoss. The flower girls were Jean Ann and Maxine Ohl. The wedding march was played by Nira Ohl, and Maxine Goodin sang two songs. The ushers were Richard Ohl, Henry and Joe Newcomb. The bride graduated from the local school in 1939. The groom attended the Elkader school. After the ceremony a reception was given by Mrs. Kenneth Kamoss, sister of the groom, Mrs. T. T. Duncan, an aunt of the groom, and Mrs. Minnie Newcomb, mother of the bride. The new couple will make their home on a farm near Elkader.
