Cummings - Topel marriage - 1940

VOLGA: The marriage of Miss Caryol Topel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Topel of Farmersburg, and Billy Cummings, son of Francis Cummings of Volga City, took place Sunday April 14, at the home of the groom's grandmother, Mrs. Albert Boleyn. The Rev. McFarland of Oelwein, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. The attendants were the bride's sister, Miss Leta Topel of Farmersburg, and Sidney Page of Volga City, friend of the bridal pair. The bride is a graduate of the Farmersburg high school class of 1939, and has been employed in Cedar Rapids. The groom graduated from the local public school in 1939 and has employment in Cedar Rapids, where the new home will be made.
