Schenke - Meyer marriage - 1939

GARBER: On Wednesday morning, Mary Jeanette Meyer, daughter of Mrs. George Kriebs of Elkport, became the bride of Edgar Schenke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schenke of Colesburg, at St. Michael's church here, with the Rev. Father J. J. Olinger officiating. The attendants were Loretta Meyer, sister of the bride, and Harold Schenke, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Schenke was a graduate of the Elkport public school and the Elkader junior college. She is a registered nurse and was a supervisor at the Mercy hospital at Dubuque.

The young couple will live in Colesburg, where Mr. Schenke operates a filling station.
