STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Elsie Fredrick, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fredrick of Strawberry Point, and Rev. Erhard H. Schalkhauser of Avoca, Minn., son of Rev. and Mrs. F. Schalkhauser of Reedsburg, Wis., were married Tuesday at Emanuel's Lutheran church. The pastor, Rev. Max O. Jahr officiated.

They were attended by Mrs. Ernest Opperman of Popejoy, a cousin of the bride, as matron of honor, and Rev. Carl Schalkhauser of Waverly, brother of the groom, as best man.

Harold Fredrick of Strawberry Point, brother of Mrs. Schalkhauser, and Rev. C. Eller of Bellevue, Iowa, acted as ushers.

Mrs. Schalkhauser graduated from the Strawberry Point high school in 1933, attended Wartburg college a Waverly, and has taught in the rural schools the past three years. Rev. Schalkhauser attended Wartburg college at Clinton, two years, and graduated from Wartburg college in Waverly in 1936. The past three years he has attended Wartburg seminary in Dubuque.

The new couple will live in Avoca, Minn. Rev. Schalkhauser will have charges at the American Lutheran Church in Avoca and St. John's Lutheran church at Lake Wilson, Minn.
