Linderwell - Steward marriage - 1939

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Lavon Luella Steward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard V. Steward, and Harold Linderwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Linderwell, both of Strawberry Point, were married at the Emanuel's Lutheran church Wednesday evening, the Rev. Max O. Jahr officiating. The maid of honor was Glendola Knake. The bridesmaids were Raynelle Hebron of Manchester and Cordelia Schuchmann. Lawrence Steward, brother of the bride, was the groom's attendant. The bride was graduated from the Strawberry Point public school in 1936. She took a one-year course in kindergarten primary work in Iowa State teachers college, after which she taught two years. The groom graduated from the Lamont consolidated school in 1931 and has been assisting his father on the farm. The home will be made on the John Gerdes farm near the entrance of the Backbone State Park.
