MONONA: Miss Janice Marie Wiethorn became the bride of William E. Hughes Friday in St. Paul's Lutheran church, the pastor, the Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiating. Miss Jea___ Wiethorn, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor, and Miss Vera Aulerich of Monona, and Miss Edith Sykes of Lost Nation were the bridesmaids. The best man was Herbert Sersland of Ossian, and Victor Bonfig and Ernest Strandeland, both of Ossian, were the ushers.
Mrs. Hughes is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Wiethorn of Monona. After graduating from the Monona high school, she received her B.A. from Coe college, and for the past four years taught in the Ossian public schools.
Mr. Hughes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hughes of Henderson, is a graduate of the Wales high school and University of Iowa. He is commercial teacher in the Ossian public schools.
Mr. and Mrs. Hughes left for Chillicothe, Mo., where the former will attend school. After Sept. 01st the new home will be made in Ossian.
