GIARD: Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Giard Methodist church, occurred the wedding of Miss Eleanor Henkes, youngest daughter of Mrs. Agnes Henkes of Monona, to Eddie S. Koether, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Koether of Giard, Rev. W. L. Feller, pastor of the Methodist church of Edgewood, officiating.

Mrs. Koether is a graduate of the Monona high school, Elkader junior college and received her Master's Degree at the University of Iowa. For the last three years she has been teaching in the LeGrande, Iowa, high school. Mr. Koether is a graduate of the Monona high school and is farming his father's farm. The new couple will make their home in Giard.
