Strawberry Point: A pretty wedding ceremony occurred at St. Mary's church here Saturday, when Miss Charlotte Amling, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Amling, Sr., of Elkport, Ia., became the bride of Marcus O'Brien, only son of Mrs. Catherine O'Brien of Cox Creek. The Rev. P. J. Boyle officiated. The bride was attended by Miss Harriet O'Brien, sister of the groom, and the best man was Gerald Lynch of Dubuque. After the ceremony breakfast was served at the home of Mrs. Percy Preston, sister of the bride. Mrs. O'Brien is a registered nurse and has practiced her profession in Iowa and Michigan. Mr. O'Brien is a successful young farmer, and the young couple will be at home on the groom's farm.
