Melcher - Daugs marriage - 1937

MONONA: Miss Charlotte Daugs, youngest daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. A. Daugs, and Carl Melcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Melcher, were married Monday evening in the Lutheran church, the Rev. A. Daugs officiating. Mrs. Ruth Anderson of McGregor, sister of the bride, played the wedding march and accompanied Mrs. George Wiethorn, who sang two solos. Attending the bride were her sisters, and the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hass, as maid of honor, and Mrs. Paula Schneider of Elkader, Mrs. George Montgomery, Jr., and Miss Helena Daugs of Monona, and Miss Arlene Melcher. The groom's attendant was his brother, John Melcher. Ushers were Chris Anderson, Frederick Daugs, Arden Melcher and Glen Melcher. After March 01 the new home will be made on the farm owned by the groom's uncles, Fred and Frank Melcher.
