Puffett - Schug marriage - 1937

STRAWBERRY POINT: Last Tuesday in the Evangelical Lutheran church at Elkader, occurred the marriage of Miss Luetta Emogene Schug, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schug of Strawberry Point, and John E. Puffett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Puffett of Dundee, the Rev. E. L. Stuempfig officiating. The date of the wedding also marked the birthday of the bride's mother. They were attended by the groom's sister, Mrs. Flaucher, of Dundee, and the bride's brother, Herman Schug, of Strawberry Point. The bride graduated from the local public school in 1935. The groom graduated from the Sundee public school. They will start housekeeping on the groom's father's farm near Dundee.
