Tayek - Sabbann marriage - 1937

On New Year's Day occurred the marriage of Miss Marcella Sabbann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Sabbann, of Monona, to Mr. Donald Tayek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tayek, also of Monona. The ceremony took place in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiating. Matron of honor was Mrs. Carl Houg, twin sister of the bride, and the groom was attended by his brother, Leo Tayek.

Mrs. Tayek is a graduate of the local high school and attended the State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She has been teaching rural schools the past four years. The groom is an industrious farmer. After 01 March the new couple will be at home on a farm east of Monona.
