Klemme - Downey marriage - 1936

Miss Anna Marie Downey of this place and Mr. R. Hoyt Klemme of Belmond, Iowa, were married Saturday, Aug. 08th, at the rectory of St. Joseph's church with the Rev. James P. Taken officiating. The couple were attended by Miss Stella Downey, sister of the bride, and Mr. Randall Klemme of Belmond, a brother of the groom. Mrs. Klemme was born and raised in this community, is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school and the State Teacher's college at Cedar Falls, where she was affiliated with the Kappa Delta Pi sorority. Since graduating she has been teaching at Belmond, and the last two years the 4th grade at Spencer, Iowa. Mr. Klemme graduated from Belmond high school and Parsons college, where he was affiliated with the Alpha Kappa Chi fraternity. At present he is engaged in newspaper work at Belmond, where the new home will be made.
