Benson - Rugland marriage - 1936

St. Olaf: Miss Alma Rugland and Perry Benson were married Friday in the Norway Lutheran church, Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating. Miranda Benson, of LaCrosse, and Irvin Rugland were the attendants, and Helen Jean and Betty Rugland were the flower girls. Mrs. Fred Rugland played the processional and recessional. Mrs. Vern Rugland and Mrs. Jack Rugland waited the table at a wedding supper at the Gunder Rugland home. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gunder Rugland, and has been a Clayton county rural school teacher for a number of years. The groom is the only son of Ole Benson, and is engaged in farming with his father. The new couple will make their home on the farm.
