The friends of Ruby Russell were surprised to learn of her marriage last evening (Wednesday, Oct. 30th) to Mr. Paul C. Buckman, of Adel, Iowa.
The wedding was to have been celebrated about two weeks hence, but owing to an urgent demand coming to the groom to report for work at Sanborn, Iowa, all plans were upset, and the wedding took place last night at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Russell, in this city. Rev. R. G. Heddon officiating.
The new couple immediately left for Sanborn, Iowa, where they will be at home to their friends after Nov. 01st.
The groom is employed by the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Co. at Spencer, Iowa, at present. His parents and only brother live at Adel, Iowa, his father having a large hardware business there. The bride is one of Elkader's well and favorably known young women.
Elkader Register, Thur., 31 Oct. 1912.
