Perry - Russell marriage - 1889

At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Russell, of this township, on Monday, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Katie, to Mr. George Perry, Rev. L. S. Cooley tying the knot. The couple will go to Valparaiso, Indiana, to make their home for the present. The bride has taught in the intermediate department of the Elkader city school for the past three years. The groom is a clayton county boy, and also is a school teacher, having charge of the public school at Clayton the past year.
