On Tuesday, June 04th, 1889, at the home of Hon. Charles Mentzell, in Cox Creek township, his youngest daughter, Alma, was married to Mr. Fred Diers, of David City, Nebraska, the ceremony performed by Rev. F. W. Seifert. The groom is the son of F. Diers, of Cox Creek township, and was born and reared to manhood in Clayton county. He is now engaged in the hardware business at David City, Neb. For several years the bride has taught in the public schools of Clayton county. Their new home will be at David City, Neb.
